Fall Looks: What to Wear at the Park

I was eating lunch outside at Moe’s today and felt that fall briskness in the breeze blowing by. Wishing I had a jacket (and hoping the baby was warm), I decided to present you with the perfect outfit for a fall day at the park.

What to look for: If you’re like me, when you go to the park you go to play. My son is only a month and a half old, but that doesn’t stop me from playing. There is Frisbee with the dog, kite flying, any number of things to do. You want your look to be comfortable and layered. The breeze is cool, but the sun can still be hot.

The Look: For this outfit I chose a dark wash, slightly flared jean. The dark wash is great for masking any dirt you might find (my dog is a puddle magnet!). For the top, I chose a great fitted tee with a sweater. The length and cut of the sweater will depend on your body type. I went with a thigh length button-up sweater with a belt at the waist. If you are a pear, I would recommend great cropped jacket instead. This will avoid the sweater hitting at the widest part of your hips/thighs. Also, the higher waist of the jacket will help even out your proportioning on top.
