Sarah Palin – Debate Fashion
Many Americans tuned in last night to watch the much-anticipated vice presidential debate between Joe Biden and Sarah Palin. While the issues talked about where important, the only area of politics I want to get into is the fashion choice of Sarah Palin.
All throughout the election, Gov. Palin has worn 
suits with different cuts and colors. Last night, however, Gov. Palin went with a classic black suit with a modern cut.
Pros: Let’s start with what I like about this suit. First, I love the tie belt at the waist. It really shows off the thin waist of our vice presidential candidate. Second, the sheen of the fabric adds a feminine softness to stark black of the suit. It gave her an extra softness on the television screen that a duller black fabric would not have.
Cons: While the suit is finely tailored, it looks a little large in the shoulders. It seems as though she is wearing shoulder pads that are too large. you can see at the shoulders where her sleeves dip in because the pads over hang. Secondly, and this has nothing to do with the suit, is her hair. I know this is a classic Sarah Palin look, but I think a true up-do (and she has done them) would have been a better choice for the event.
Sarah Palin managed to pull off the politician-meets-”hockey mom” look that is her signature. She was feminine, yet aggressive. I think her suit choice was perfect.
