2008 Fall Coats: Bomber

I hope this post finds that everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I fully intended to post through the holidays, but got caught up in family and completely forgot! I apologize for not posting much lately. That being said, let’s continue our discussion of coats! (They are definitely needed in my neck of the woods today – it’s snowing!) The third and final on my list is the bomber jacket. I’m only going to cover the three (pea coat, trench, and bomber) as they are the most popular types. If anyone has another style they would like me to go over, please let me know!

The bomber jacket is, in my opinion, the most Plaid Bomber Jacket by New York & Company difficult to wear. The short torso tends to hit most women right at the hips (one of the widest parts of nearly every body type). The body types most likely to pull this look off are the hourglass and the pear. The pear can pull this off because of the narrow top. The bomber will help to balance out the wider bottom if, and only if, the jacket bottom is shorter than the sleeve length. Apples, this jacket is a no-no for you. It will only over-emphasize your already wide shoulders.

The bomber jacket is typically a great look for shorter women. Just watch your body type. That factor comes before height in every situation!

I'm glad you enjoyed! Are there any other jackets you would like me to
    review?
  • Thanks Nash for the post. Anything Jacket...I'm interested in. Your fitting insight regarding the bomber jacket and the female form were pointers I will remember. Thanks. Mrjacket.com
