Your Personal Style: Gorgeous Goth
The Gorgeous Goth is very pretty. Her typically black hair plays in an almost elegant way off the paleness of her skin (natural or enhanced). As long as the clothes are not baggy, she will always have curves, since black is such a great color for slimming every area of a woman’s body.
The Clothes
Black. The overall color of her clothing is black. She may have an accent color – often hot pink or bright red – but the overall theme is black. She often wears form-fitting tees – with or without a graphic. If there is a graphic on the tee, it will be something “pop culture”. Bands, video games, and movies are all fair game for the theme of her graphic tee.
Many Gorgeous Goths favor skirts. Short skirts, set off with fishnet stocking and knee high, military style boots. The skirt adds a feminine touch to a very masculine color. The skirts themselves are often the customary black, however you can also see them in a tartan plaid. Think kilts, but much shorter and more feminine. The skirts tend to have a bit of a pleat to them. Making the skirt appear to be like that of a school girl, except for a few obvious reasons.
The most interesting thing about our friend, the Gorgeous Goth, are her accessories. Spiked dog collar style necklaces and bracelets set her apart from the others. Fingerless, fishnet style gloves up to her elbows give her added detailing. She is also a great fan of chains – hanging from her belt, pockets, or around her neck.
What They Say
Back Off. While many Gorgeous Goths are the sweetest girls you’ll meet, her look simply says otherwise. From the spiked dog collar around her neck to the steel toes of her boats, everything about her screams, “Stay Away”. Additionally, the entire Goth community has an almost creepy, Halloween night image – created almost entirely by the bands they listen to (often referred to as death metal) and Hollywood.
Don’t be too quick to judge. I have known may Gorgeous Goth’s that are some of the nicest people I know. Just look at Abby, my favorite character on NCIS (see some great Abby clips). She’s Goth and there’s probably not a nicer person on T.V.
